Common questions
- Is there really nothing extra to pay?
- Right — no per-user, no per-location, no "CRM upgrade" or "phone module" line items. The number you see is the number you pay. Outbound payment-processor fees on your renters' charges are between you and PayPal/Stripe/your EFTPOS terminal — we don't sit in that flow.
- How does the trial work?
- Free 30 days, no credit card. Sign up, seed your starter inventory in one click, take a few contracts. You don't get charged until you flip the subscription on yourself.
- What if I outgrow Counter mid-month?
- Upgrade with one click; pro-rated for the month. Same for downgrading if your peak season passes.
- Do you take a cut of renter payments?
- No. We're the operations layer, not a payment processor. Renter bonds and rental fees go straight to your till / card terminal / PayPal account. Your money, your terms.
- Can I cancel any time?
- Yes, month-to-month, cancel any time from /counter/billing. You keep access through the end of the billing period. Your data is exportable as CSV (or pull it via the Pro API) — no lock-in.
- Why a different price in each currency, not just an FX conversion of AUD?
- Each market gets its own pricing band tuned to local industry rates and tax handling. It's not a hidden margin — we charge what's fair in the market we're serving, billed in your currency without FX spread.
